Hue has two more national cultural heritages

The new rice festival of the Co Tu ethnic people and the traditional knowledge of bun bo Hue (Hue-style beef noodle soup) have both been officially listed in the national intangible cultural heritages, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue city have announced.

Paintings by exiled King Ham Nghi on display in Hue

King Ham Nghi's paintings uniquely combine his artistic talent and love for the country. Through his art, he expressed his homesickness. His paintings also contain a 'hidden resistance' to oppression during his exile.

King Ham Nghi's paintings to be displayed in Hue

The Hue Monuments Conservation Centre has announced that the exhibit will take place at Kien Trung Palace in the Hue Royal Palace Heritage Site from March 25 to April 6, in conjunction with the French Institute in Vietnam and Art Republik magazine.

Hue ancient city – Land of UNESCO heritages

The central province of Thua Thien-Hue is now the only locality in Vietnam, and also Southeast Asia, to boast six UNESCO World Heritages. These include the Imperial City of Hue, the Hue Court Music, the Woodblocks of the Nguyen Dynasty, the Official Records of the Nguyen Dynasty, the royal literature on Hue royal architecture, and the castings on the Nine Dynastic Urns in the Hue Imperial Palace.

Thua Thien-Hue preserving, promoting Han-Nom heritage value

As a land rich in history and cultural heritage, the central province of Thua Thien–Hue is home to the country's richest Han (Chinese script) and Nom (Vietnamese ideographic script) heritage system in the country. The province has made significant efforts to preserve and promote this valuable heritage, thus contributing to its goal of becoming a distinctive cultural centre and a unique heritage city in Vietnam.
