As a responsible member of ASEAN and the international community, the Vietnam People’s Army will continue to participate actively and constructively in ASEAN defence cooperation, particularly army-to-army collaboration, to effectively address emerging challenges and promote regional peace, stability and sustainable development.

Launched in 2023, the AZEC initiative serves as a multilateral cooperation mechanism to help Asian countries tackle three key challenges: sustaining economic growth, ensuring energy security, and pursuing economy-wide decarbonisation under the principle of “one goal, multiple pathways.”
