Top legislator meets with Can Tho’s voters ahead of 15th NA’s 10th session

The top legislator requested the city to effectively and drastically implement resolutions of the Politburo and the NA on Can Tho’s development through 2030, with a vision to 2040, and on piloting special mechanisms and policies for the city; continue to remove obstacles for investors and businesses; address pending projects; accelerate public investment disbursement; increase investment for education, science, and health care.

Truong Canh Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Can Tho municipal Party Committee, has been elected as Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee for the 2021–2026 tenure, with a winning rate of 95%.

They also called for active contributions to the 13th Party Central Committee’s draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress and thorough preparations to ensure successful congress outcomes.

New Can Tho city positioned as regional economic engine: NA Chairman

Can Tho seeks Indian investment in technology, agriculture, industry

In 2023, the city signed a cooperation agreement with the consulate general aimed at strengthening collaboration in various fields, particularly education, culture, arts, IT, tourism, trade, and investment promotion. In 2024, the Indian Government provided a grant of 50,000 USD to support a rural bridge construction project in Can Tho.
