On November 14, a delegation led by Secretary of the Hai Phong municipal Party Committee Le Tien Chau visited Dak Lak and Gia Lai, presenting each province with 10 billion VND (379,000 USD) for recovery efforts.
VICOFA Vice Chairman Thai Nhu Hiep stated that Vietnam is already the world’s largest producer and exporter of Robusta coffee, with an annual output exceeding 1.8 million tonnes. According to preliminary reports, Typhoon Kalmaegi left two people dead, and injured two others in Dak Lak province. Twelve houses were destroyed, 326 houses had their roofs blown off, and 147 were flooded.
