The southern province of Dong Nai, boasting huge potential for the development of sustainable industrial economy, aviation economy, logistics, and modern services, is poised to become a hub for green finance and innovative economy in the country and the region, according to economists.

Dong Nai plans “green” free trade zone linked with Long Thanh airport

The proposed Dong Nai FTZ will cover more than 8,200 hectares across seven sites connected with Long Thanh International Airport and Phuoc An Port. It will consist of four functional zones, namely a high-tech industrial production area, a logistics hub, a financial and commercial services centre, and an innovation cluster.

Long Thanh airport must receive first flight by end-2025: PM

PM Chinh emphasised the airport’s vital role in driving socio-economic development, generating jobs, and improving livelihoods. He described the project as a new symbol of progress, not only for the Southeast region but for the entire country.

Dong Nai pulls in 1.2 bln USD in FDI, smashing 2025 goal

Dong Nai targets 1.1 billion in FDI in 2025, with industrial parks aiming for 800 million USD. Back in early February, the province granted investment certificates to 12 FDI and two domestic projects, respectively valued at over 680 million USD and nearly 1.5 trillion VND (60 million USD).

Dong Nai’s Q1 FDI attraction nears yearly target

The southern province of Dong Nai attracted 927 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first quarter of 2025, including 407 million USD was invested in 29 new projects, and more than 520 million USD went to existing ones.

RoK to establish integrated logistics centre in Dong Nai

The facility will cover over 55,000 sq.m of land, with a total floor area of 26,168 sq.m. The project is being developed through a joint venture with Lotte Global Logistics in Vietnam, supported by the global logistics supply chain fund.

The People's Committee of the southern province of Dong Nai, in collaboration with Viet Phat Group JSC, on January 10 began work on an office leasing and commercial centre in Hiep Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city, with a total investment of over 6 trillion VND (236.4 million USD), making it one of the largest commercial centre projects in Vietnam.

The People’s Committee of the southern industrial hub of Dong Nai presented investment certificates to 17 projects with a total registered capital of 6 billion USD at a conference to announce the locality’s master plan on September 24.
