Cultural tourism and traditional values promoted through festival

The Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Son Tay town, on the outskirts of Hanoi, will host a number of events to promote cultural tourism and traditional values.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam NationalVillage for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Son Tay town, on the outskirts ofHanoi, will host a number of events to promote cultural tourism and traditionalvalues.

Around 100 people will take part, including actors from the Theatre of Ba Ria –Vung Tau and members of 15 different ethnic groups.

The "Mua xuan va Tuoi tre" (Spring and Youth) programme includes agong festival and other festivities for preserving and promoting the culturalvalues of the country.

A highlight activity titled “Thang Ba mua con ong di lay mat” (March is whenbees go collecting honey) will be presented at the end of the week. Ethnicgroups introduce special types of coffee and enjoy them with tourists.

Art performances about the spring and the nation are a part of the event “Muaxuan yeu thuong” (Spring of love) by the Ba Ria – Vung Tau theatre.

Visitors will be able to experience ethnic cultures at the cultural villagespace.

There are activities for visitors such as cooking family meals, playingtraditional musical instruments and folk games.

Participants could also experience making traditional crafts like wickerwork.They could bring home products such as a lovely basket or a model of communalhouse after finishing.

There are also daily activities to introduce the cultures and customs ofvarious ethnic groups in the country.

SEA Games 33: Vietnam excels with record-breaking performances

The trio of Nguyen Thuy Trang, Trinh Thu Vinh and Trieu Thi Hoa Hong delivered an impressive performance in the women’s 10m air pistol team event on December 14. Competing with consistency and precision, the Vietnamese shooters amassed a total of 1,711 points to win the gold medal and shatter the SEA Games record.

‘Red Rain’ closes Vietnamese Film Week in Paris

Vietnam Pho Day launched in Europe amid broader culinary push

Prior to the launch, the Vietnamese Embassy encouraged businesses and restaurants throughout Germany to join in the event. By December 12, six partners had signed up via the We Love Pho organisation's website (welovepho.org), committing to promotional posts, website and social media shares, features in Vietnamese language media, and special discounts for pho customers during the event.
