Hanoi (VNA) –Hanoi’s 15 night-time tourism offerings and a light art installation space willbe launched at the Arts and Culture Centre in Hanoi onNovember 24.

The municipal Department of Tourism said on November 16 that the event aims at improvinglocal tourism’s competitive edge, attracting more visitors to the capital city,lengthening their stays and increasing their spending, helping develop night tourism into a keyproduct to branch out the night-time economy in the city.

Over the past time, Hanoi has worked to develop many night tourism offerings tobring new experience to tourists, including night tours to the Van Mieu – Quoc TuGiam (Temple of Literature), Hoa Lo Prison relic, the Thang Long ImperialCitadel and the Vietnam Museum of Literature.

The products to be introduced at the event are built based on the existing ones with a viewto diversifying night-time tourism services.

Visitors will have a chance to engage in a feast of dazzling lights andcontemporary folk music while attending the light art installation space “Hanoinight – a touch of emotions” from 20:00 to 22:00 on November 24, 25 and 26 wherethe light art works will tell the stories about Hanoi night.

Meanwhile, the light reflection art exhibition will offer a chance for visitors to enjoy Hanoi’s tangible andintangible heritage such as Long Bien bridge, Quan Chuong gate, One-pillar pagoda,Hang Trong folk paintings, Chuong village’s conical leaf hats, and Khue Van Cac(Constellation of Literature Pavilion).

At the event, the tourismdepartment will also announce a decision recognising Hoan Kiem lake and itssurrounding and the Hanoi old quarter as a city-level tourist area, and launchthe tourism photo contest “Welcome Hanoi City”.

Also on November 24, 25 and 26, 3D Mapping presentation will be staged at QuanChuong gate, spotlighting Hanoi’s night tourism offerings as well as an arrayof local historical and cultural sites.

Other activities to be held within the framework of the event include an artworkshop where artisans will guide visitors how to make Hang Trong folkpaintings and bamboo and rattan products, and performances of traditionalca tru (ceremonial singing), cheo (traditional opera), and chau van ritualsinging from 8:30 to 15:00 on November 24-26./.

Hue accelerates shift toward green, low-plastic tourism models

Over the past three years, Hue tourism authorities have strengthened communication and advocacy for plastic waste reduction through 10 training sessions with 690 participants, “Coffee Talk” events, professional Zalo groups, and direct engagement with businesses. As a result, 102 enterprises and business households have signed commitments to reduce plastics, and 12 hotels have pioneered plastic-reduction practices.

Vietnam welcomes more than 19 million international visitors in 11 months

A UN Tourism report highlighted Vietnam’s performance as one of the most notable recoveries worldwide. Vietnam draws French holidaymakers during Christmas, New Year

Hanoi posts sharp rise in visitors, revenue

In December, the Hanoi tourism sector will focus on completing a project to reform the management, conservation and promotion of the Huong Son (Perfume Pagoda) Special National Relic Site; continue surveys on community-based, agricultural and night-time tourism offerings; and host the 2025 Hanoi Craft Village and Craft Street Cuisine and Tourism Festival. Preparations are also under way for participation in the National Green Tourism Forum in Lam Dong.
