Gastronomic festival "Balade en France 2024" to be held in April

The fourth edition of the French culinary festival - Balade en France 2024 - will take place in Hanoi from April 5-7, the French Embassy in Vietnam announced at a press conference on March 27.

Hanoi (VNA) –The fourth edition of the French culinary festival - Balade en France 2024 -will take place in Hanoi from April 5-7, the French Embassy in Vietnamannounced at a press conference on March 27.

The festival, co-organisedby the embassy and the Hanoi People’s Committee, is the biggest of its kind so farwith more than 70 booths.

For the first time, thefood festival will be held on an area of up to 12,000 sq.m inHanoi's Thong Nhat Park in Hai Ba Trung district.

Festival goers will haveopportunities to try French typical foods and agricultural products and witnesschefs’ performances.

French Ambassador toVietnam Olivier Brochet affirmed that the event will honour French cuisine inall aspects. It will also highlight the cultural cooperation betweenFrance and Vietnam.

Within the event’sframework, a 300 sq.m area will be reserved for sport activities to promote theParis 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Celebrities such as Thang LongWarriors basketball team and Celline Nha Nguyen (Nguyen Thi Thanh Nha) - thefirst Vietnamese woman to conquer Mount Everest - will take part in the event.

In addition, a streetdance festival “Balade en France - All in One 2024” will be held as part of theevent with the participation of Francophone schools in Hanoi./.

SEA Games 33: Vietnam excels with record-breaking performances

The trio of Nguyen Thuy Trang, Trinh Thu Vinh and Trieu Thi Hoa Hong delivered an impressive performance in the women’s 10m air pistol team event on December 14. Competing with consistency and precision, the Vietnamese shooters amassed a total of 1,711 points to win the gold medal and shatter the SEA Games record.

‘Red Rain’ closes Vietnamese Film Week in Paris

Vietnam Pho Day launched in Europe amid broader culinary push

Prior to the launch, the Vietnamese Embassy encouraged businesses and restaurants throughout Germany to join in the event. By December 12, six partners had signed up via the We Love Pho organisation's website (welovepho.org), committing to promotional posts, website and social media shares, features in Vietnamese language media, and special discounts for pho customers during the event.
