Gia Lai aims for rapid, sustainable development in new Party tenure

Gia Lai strives to achieve the average annual GRDP growth rate of 10%–10.5% for the 2025–2030 period, the GRDP per capita of between 6,300 and 6,500 USD.

Gia Lai (VNA) - Gia Lai province is striving to fulfil its targets of achieving rapid and sustainable development, and becoming a relatively developed locality as set out in the Resolution of its first Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, which concluded on October 4.

The resolution also highlights the importance of building a pure and strong Party organisation and political system; ensuring national defence, security, and social welfare; promoting cultural traditions, identity, and the great national unity, as well as the spirit and aspiration for progress; and accelerating the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transition, and the private economy.

The province aims to turn it into a centre for processing and manufacturing industries, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, services, tourism, semiconductor production, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Notably, the congress reached a consensus on 10 economic, 14 social, seven environmental, and two Party-building targets.

Among them, Gia Lai strives to achieve the average annual GRDP growth rate of 10%–10.5% for the 2025–2030 period, the GRDP per capita of between 6,300 and 6,500 USD. By 2030, the province’s total budget revenue is projected to exceed 41 trillion VND (1.55 billion USD), and total export turnover for the 2026–2030 period is expected to surpass 17 billion USD.

By 2030, it aims to welcome 18.5 million tourist arrivals, including 1.1 million foreigners; achieve a rate of at least 80.5% of schools meeting national standards; maintain 100% of commune-level health stations staffed with doctors; ensure 100% of communes and wards meet the national health standards; and reduce the poverty rate to below the national average.

On behalf of the Presidium, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Rah Lan Chung announced the Politburo’s decision on the appointment of delegates to attend the 14th National Party Congress, including 36 official and two alternate.

He also announced the Secretariat’s decision on the appointment of the Gia Lai provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Board for the 2025–2030 term, consisting of 14 members./.

Frigate 015 – Tran Hung Dao concludes visit to RoK
