Central, south-central floods cause nearly 500 million USD in losses

Flooding has damaged 82,147 ha of rice and seasonal crops, 117,067 ha of perennial crops, killed or swept away more than 3.3 million livestock and poultry, and affected 1,157 ha of aquaculture. Floods and landslides have left 102 people dead, 11 missing, 221 homes destroyed and 933 others damaged.

PM Chinh proposed the Netherlands promptly ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) to further promote bilateral investment cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, urge the European Commission (EC) to soon lift its “yellow card” warning against Vietnamese seafood, and further step up bilateral collaboration in science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and databases.

PM returns to Hanoi, concluding trip to Kuwait, Algeria, South Africa

During his nine-day working trip, including travel time, PM Chinh maintained a dense and highly productive schedule with around 80 activities. These included meetings and talks with nearly all the top leaders of Kuwait, Algeria, and South Africa; policy speeches; working sessions with government officials and businesses of the host countries; visits to socio-economic establishments in all three nations; and participation in economic forums and business dialogues.
