Phan Thien Dinh becomes Chairman of Hue People’s Committee

The People’s Council of the central city of Hue on October 17 elected Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and head of the Economic - Budgetary Committee of the Hue People's Council, as Chairman of the city People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 tenure, with 44 out of 44 votes in favour.

Hanoi (VNA) - The People’s Council of the central city of Hue on October 17 elected Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee and head of the Economic - Budgetary Committee of the Hue People's Council, as Chairman of the city People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 tenure, with 44 out of 44 votes in favour.

In his inaugural address, Dinh pledged to devote his full capacity, intellect and commitment to working in unity with the People’s Committee members to further strengthen the city’s governance system, ensuring it operates with greater effectiveness, efficiency and integrity.

In the immediate term, he will lead efforts to carry out key tasks and solutions for the remaining months of 2025, aiming to achieve the city’s socio-economic development targets, notably maintaining a gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth rate of over 10%.

Born on December 10, 1971, in Thuan An ward of Hue city, Dinh was elected Deputy Secretary of the Hue Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure during the city’s Party Congress from October 2-4.

At the meeting, members of the municipal People’s Council also voted to approve the relief of Nguyen Van Phuong from the position of Chairman of the Hue People’s Committee. Phuong has been appointed by the Politburo as Secretary of the Party Committee of Quang Tri province for the 2025–2030 tenure./.

Frigate 015 – Tran Hung Dao concludes visit to RoK
