President Vo Van Thuong visited the Austrian state of Burgenland and met with Governor Hans Peter Doskozil on July 25 as part of his official trip to the European country.

Vienna (VNA) – President Vo Van Thuong visited the Austrian state of Burgenlandand met with Governor Hans Peter Doskozil on July 25 as part of his officialtrip to the European country.

Welcomingthe President, his spouse and the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam, Doskozil consideredthe official visit a special milestone marking the development of the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation to a new height, following the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

PresidentThuong congratulated Burgenland on its enormous strides turning thestate into a dynamic economic hub and a leading locality in terms of renewableenergy, agriculture, and tourism in Austria.

He calledon the Governor to encourage Burgenland enterprises to seize investment andbusiness opportunities in Vietnam in the fields where the state is strong, and assistthe Southeast Asian nation in renewable energy and green growth.

Thuong also voiced his support for Burgenland to set up partnerships and hold mutualvisits with some Vietnamese localities that share economic, social, cultural,and tourism similarities with it, thereby helping promote people-to-peopleexchanges, mutual understanding, friendship, and cooperation between the twocountries.

Notingthat his state is striving for net zero emissions by 2030, Doskozil agreed toboost connectivity with Vietnamese localities in renewable energy, especiallythe battery technology, tourism, and culture - arts.

He highlyvalued President Thuong’s suggestions, affirming that Burgenland wishes tocooperate with Vietnamese localities, particularly in investment, trade,sustainable development and people-to-people exchanges, to further contributeto the reinforcement and expansion of their countries’ relations./.

Frigate 015 – Tran Hung Dao concludes visit to RoK
