His trip comes shortly after Party General Secretary To Lam’s successful state visit to Laos to attend its 50th National Day celebrations and co-chair the annual high-level meeting between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.

Tu stressed that the Party chief’s visit, timed to coincide with Laos’ 50th National Day and the 105th birth anniversary of President Kaysone Phomvihane, carried profound historical, political, and humane significance. It was an opportunity to reflect on the arduous yet glorious struggles of the Lao people, reaffirming their unwavering commitment to independence and enduring spirit of unity.

He congratulated Laos on its major, comprehensive achievements over the past five decades of national construction and four decades of reform, highlighting its thorough preparations for the upcoming 12th National Party Congress as a solid foundation for the country’s next development phase.
