International community ready to support Vietnam in energy transition, climate response

In a video message to the press conference, UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam Pauline Tamesis said the UN is ready to support Vietnam in building a pipeline of projects capable of absorbing financing mobilised under the Political Declaration on establishing the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP), as well as from global climate finance sources, including the Green Climate Fund and the Loss and Damage Fund.

French arrivals have climbed by 55% over the past year, making Vietnam the fastest-growing long-haul destination for the French market. Da Nang welcomes French navy vessel on friendly visit

Under the agreement signed in the northwestern French city of Le Havre, Vietnam’s central coastal city of Da Nang and Le Havre are committed to strengthening collaboration in economy, logistics, urban and port planning, innovation, higher education, and tourism, with a focus on promoting and leveraging their cultural, artistic, and historical heritage.

The Vietnamese performances combined traditional and contemporary elements, leaving a strong impression on audiences. Highlights included the evocative “Dat nuoc loi ru,” (Lullaby of nation), the soulful sound of the monochord “Dan bau” (Vietnam's traditional one-string musical instrument), and a moving rendition of the Republic of Korea's well-known piece “Onara” in a Vietnamese–Korean fusion style.

Vietnam, France foster innovation cooperation

France, with its strengths in basic research, high technology, and a vibrant startup ecosystem, can support Vietnam in developing human resources, technology transfer, and building innovation centres. Conversely, Vietnam – with its dynamic market, young workforce, and ability to quickly adopt new technologies – offers a fertile ground for French innovative ideas to be put into practice.
