Lauding the talks between Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Senate President Vystrcil, the Party leader expressed his hope that the two legislatures will continue close coordination to create a legal corridor and favourable conditions for promoting bilateral cooperation, in line with the common interests of both nations.
Chairman Man said that Vietnam always attaches importance to promoting traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with the Czech Republic – its first Strategic Partner in Central and Eastern Europe.
Deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission Nguyen Thanh Hai stressed Vietnam’s recent achievements in combating corruption, stressing that the work is a central task receiving strong and consistent direction from the Party and State, with the active involvement of multiple agencies. He underlined the important role of the public in detecting, reporting and helping to address corrupt practices.
The Czech Republic's aid package worth 3 million CZK (142,800 USD) is not only timely material assistance for the people of central Vietnam but also a profound symbol of solidarity, friendship, and international humanitarian spirit between the people of the two countries.
Duoc noted Vystrcil’s selection of HCM City as the first stop of his visit reflects the city’s role, potential, and economic–diplomatic position. He expressed belief that the visit will help strengthen the traditional friendship, provide a strong impetus for Vietnam–Czech relations, and promote cooperation between the Czech Republic and the southern largest city in the time to come.
The visit by the Czech Senate President demonstrates that parliamentary cooperation is an important pillar of bilateral relations and underscores the commitment of both countries to strengthening linkages, promoting cooperation, and elevating Vietnam – Czech relations to a new height.
Hung emphasised that the visit aimed to concretise the newly-elevated Strategic Partnership while preparing for the upcoming visit to Vietnam by senior Czech leaders. He briefed the hosts on Vietnam’s socio-economic situation, highlighting major breakthroughs in science–technology, innovation, digital transformation and human resources development.
Total donations from the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic have so far reached 5.4 billion VND, including 1.5 billion VND sent in the first phase. The remaining amount will soon be transferred to the VFF Central Committee for distribution to affected areas.
According to the organsing board, the event will gather standout contestants from various European countries together with Vietnamese and European artists, fashion designers, and business leaders, promoting national pride as well as spreading values of humanity and integration.
