Hanoi (VNA) – The 2025 Autumn Fair in Hanoi has attracted large crowds over one week, with the cinema zone emerging as a major cultural highlight.

Located within the cultural industry space, the zone is designed like a mini film studio and offers visitors an immersive experience of Vietnamese cinema, from production and technology to film screenings and merchandise.

A free cinema theatre is the most popular spot, drawing hundreds of viewers daily to recent popular films – "Mua Do" (Red Rain) and "Tu Chien Tren Khong" (Hijacked). Red Rain portrays the bravery and sacrifice of Vietnamese soldiers, while Hijacked focuses on dramatic aerial combat and the courage of the aviation security force.

The Vietnam Animation Studio also screens over 40 new animated films for children and families.

The Vietnam National Cinema Centre introduces smart features such as automated ticket machines which highlight its digital transformation, along with the combined format of short documentaries followed by commercial films to offer diverse experiences to viewers.

Beyond screenings, visitors can purchase film-related souvenirs, explore props, interact with film crews, and enjoy a cinema-style food court.

The space emphasises that cinema is not just entertainment but a form of cultural soft power that reflects national identity, history, and creativity.

The cinema zone at the Autumn Fair demonstrates how trade promotion could also serve as a platform to showcase Vietnam’s cultural industries, where technology, art, and human emotions come together./
