Hanoi shapes supporting-industry ecosystem for its 2035 vision

By 2030, Hanoi targets around 1,200 supporting-industry enterprises, with more than 40% meeting international standards and capable of joining global production networks. By 2035, this is projected to rise to around 1,400, with approximately 45% meeting international standards.

Hanoi set to launch venture capital fund

The fund will be established under a business contractual co-operation (BCC) with no legal status, operating on market principles and accepting risks to promote innovation.

Cat Linh – Ha Dong metro to roll out new ticket system November 18

Under the new system, passengers purchasing single-ride tickets can use the Hanoi Metro App on their smartphones to buy tickets and receive a QR code for gate access. Those without smartphones can buy tickets at station counters and receive a QR code sticker valid for a single entry through the gate.

Thirty outstanding exhibitors honoured at first Autumn Fair 2025

Spanning 130,000 square metres with 3,000 booths, the first Autumn Fair 2025 was the largest trade event of its kind ever held in Vietnam. It drew an average of 100,000 visitors per day — the highest attendance among domestic trade promotion events — underscoring the strong appeal of Vietnamese products and growing consumer confidence in locally-made goods.

Hanoi draws over 3.9 billion USD in FDI in first ten months

From January to October, 342 new FDI projects were licensed with registered capital of 316.7 million USD, while 120 existing projects adjusted their capital by a total of 3.21 billion USD. A significant contribution came from Malaysia’s Gamuda Land Vietnam Co., Ltd., which raised investment in its Yen So Park project by 1.12 billion USD. In addition, foreign investors made 318 capital contributions and share purchases worth 375.3 million USD.

Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen on October 23 inspected the preparations of the space for promoting and showcasing Hanoi’s outstanding industrial and commercial products at the Autumn Fair 2025, which will open on October 25 at the Vietnam Exposition Centre.

Deputy PM orders faster preparations for Autumn Fair 2025

The fair will showcase a wide range of sectors, from heavy and light industries to science and technology, processed foods, consumer goods, and trade services. Construction began on October 17 and is set for completion by October 22, with a rehearsal scheduled for October 24.

Hanoi signs MoU with VAFIE to lure capital through 2030

Under the MoU, the two sides will jointly develop Hanoi’s 2026–2030 investment promotion plan, build long-term strategies to attract capital that align with the city’s socio-economic trajectory, produce studies to support promotional efforts, identify priority markets, propose action plans, and design incentives for companies and investors.

Hanoi gives green light to Van Cao-Hoa Lac metro line

The main route starts at the Van Cao – Hoang Hoa Tham intersection and ends at Thach Binh Station (Hoa Lac), with a total length of approximately 39.6 km. Additionally, the project includes two branches connecting to Depot No. 1 (in Son Dong and Duong Hoa communes) and Depot No. 2 (in Hoa Lac commune), with a total branch length of about 4.8 km.
